If you have a recognised childcare qualification or at least two years of full-time professional childcare experience, you could join our program as an Au Pair Extraordinaire.
Are you ready to become an Au Pair Extraordinaire?
The most in-demand au pairs are those with recognised childcare qualifications or 2 years of recent full-time childcare experience as a nursery school teacher, nanny or childcare provider
As an au pair with qualifications, you’ll provide up to 45 hours of childcare assistance each week. In return, you’ll receive:
Weekly spending money
Your own room
3 meals per day
One weekend off per month
2 weeks paid vacation

Are aged between 18-26
Love caring for children
Can speak English to a good standard
Hold a full driving license and drive confidently abroad
Completed a 1-year J1 USA au pair program in the last five years
Graduated secondary school (or equivalent)
Have never been convicted of a criminal offence
Are unmarried with no dependents

In your free time, you can explore your local area, discover American culture and meet other au pairs through our regular social events.
You’ll also have the chance to travel across the USA. Use your weekends off, vacation time and the travel month at the end of your stay to visit the places you’ve always wanted to see.


Study
Study at an American college
Alongside your childcare role, you also get to study at an American college or university. Your host family will contribute up to $500 towards this.
You can choose a subject that interests you, such as a language, business, psychology, art or history. Studying is a great way to learn something new and meet other students.
