As an au pair with Au Pair in America, you’ll spend your year living with a host family, caring for children, and experiencing daily life in the USA. You’ll also have the chance to complete a course at an American college.

If you prefer to study at your own pace from your American home, you also have the option to study online through the APIA UCLA Advantage scheme.

This course is a 19-week online American Studies course, which gives you six credits and is approved by the US Department of State to fulfill the au pair program requirement.

The course covers a wide range of topics to help you understand more about life, culture, and history in the USA:

US History: Includes modules on economics, geography  and history

English Language: Develop your reading and writing skills with weekly practice

Arts in the US: Explore American culture and creativity

US Literature: Learn about famous American writers

Career Counselling: Think about your skills and interests to plan for your future job
